Prototype: E-Learning 21st Century Learning Models with the DARP (Discuss, Archive, Reflect, and Prepare) Approach

Abstract

In the age of digital education, there is a critical need for a learning platform that supports the development of 21st-century skills. The development of an e-learning prototype for 21st-century learning models using the DARP approach was designed to answer these challenges by integrating discussion, archiving, reflection, and preparation activities in an e-learning platform dynamically and collaboratively. The prototype was developed using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), which includes planning, analysis, design, implementation, and testing stages. The resulting prototype was tested on a limited scale with lecturers and students to evaluate its functionality, user acceptability, and effectiveness in supporting the learning process. Data collected through a questionnaire was analyzed descriptively. The trial results show that the e-learning prototype for 21st-century learning models using the DARP approach can increase student involvement in discussions, strengthen reflective abilities, and help plan more structured learning. In conclusion, the e-learning prototype using the DARP approach shows potential for further development in supporting the development of 21st-century skills and dynamic learning.
