Abstract

Nusantara^s Green Path aims to harmonize Islamic values with modern carbon accounting practices for sustainable development in the new capital city of Indonesia. By blending the principles of Islam with carbon accounting, this initiative provides a holistic approach to environmental stewardship and economic development. The integration of Islamic values into carbon accounting practices is deeply rooted in Quranic teachings, making it a natural fit for sustainable development efforts. The worldwide commitment to reducing climate change is in line with the use of carbon accounting as a tool. This study explores Nusantara^s potential for the Green Path using case studies and best practices, emphasizing how incorporating Islamic beliefs into the design can encourage environmental stewardship and harmony with the natural world. To track and reduce carbon emissions, it will be crucial to implement comprehensive carbon accounting measures. The convergence of Islamic values and carbon accounting exemplifies a holistic approach to sustainable urban development that holds valuable insights for policymakers, urban planners, and conservationists working in similar settings.
