Abstract

Purpose
This study examines how the servant leadership model may be used to advance green energy services in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Pakistan^s banking industry. Green energy services include sustainable practices, energy efficiency, and the promotion and funding of renewable energy initiatives. The banking industry is playing a vital role in encouraging environmentally friendly activities as environmental sustainability acquires prominence. In an effort to lessen the impact on the environment and improve sustainable practices in banking operations, this study explores how the concepts of servant leadership may motivate the adoption and application of green energy services.
Methodology
This study investigates the effects of servant leadership on employee engagement, organizational culture, and green energy service initiatives using a mixed-method approach that includes qualitative and quantitative surveys among banking personnel. A structured questionnaire was distributed between 332 employees working in different banks under the supervision of branch managers. Convenient sampling technique was used in collection of data.
Findings
The results show that the effective marketing of green energy services is significantly correlated with servant leadership traits like stewardship, persuasive mapping, emotional healing, altruistic calling, and wisdom and employees motivation to introduce green energy service initiative in banks culture.
Originality
The focus of this study is to provide the banking sector in KP with specific strategies and best practices for incorporating servant leadership into their organizational structure and cultivating a sustainable culture. The study concludes with practical recommendations for policymakers and banking leaders to enhance their green service efforts, ultimately contributing to the broader goal of environmental sustainability.
