Abstract

This study explores the intricate relationship between strategic planning, cultural intelligence (CI), and sustainable IT (SIT) practices, with a focus on the mediating role of renewable energy adoption (REA). It proposes that strategic planning incorporating cultural considerations fosters the development of CI within organizations. This enhanced CI, in turn, leads to a greater adoption of renewable energy sources. Finally, the increased adoption of renewable energy necessitates advancements in IT infrastructure, ultimately influencing the development of sustainable IT practices. This study presents a theoretical framework and outlines a quantitative research methodology to examine these relationships and test the proposed hypotheses. Finally, this research offers valuable insights for organizations to develop comprehensive strategies that promote cultural sensitivity, environmental responsibility, and sustainable IT practices in a globalized environment.
