Abstract
Fine arts graduates are expected to have broad theoretical knowledge, as well as in-depth and creative art creation skills. In addition, teaching skills are added, especially as a provision to become a teacher, and other jobs such as researchers, art critics, and art practitioners. The needs of stake holders for fine arts graduates are in line with technological developments and industrial progress 4.0, namely becoming professional teachers, creative and innovative industry workers, and creating quality tourism souvenir products. To meet these needs, it is necessary to make policies that accelerate the acquisition of these skills. The purpose of this research is to create graduates who are more skilled in creating creative and innovative works of art, through intensive mentoring by thesis supervisors. In addition, mentoring for students in environmental studies field lectures is aimed at students who are attending lectures on the basics of art creation skills. The policy taken to encourage an increase in the number of highly skilled students in creating works of art is through the Final Project/Thesis Creation and Environmental Studies Field Lectures. In the Final Project/Thesis Creation, students will receive intensive individual guidance from the thesis supervisor. Furthermore, input from the resource lecturers of the thesis proposal creation seminar complemented the guidance given by the Thesis Supervisor. Furthermore, the Environmental Studies Field Lecture also provides students with work guidance from lecturers who support courses (collaborating on several courses), plus guidance from senior students. Final Project/Thesis Creation. only deepening one type of art creation skill, students will be more focused and can produce works of excellent quality. The quality of the work can be publicly accounted for in a solo exhibition, as a condition for participating in the thesis trial.
