BARBALOIN COMPOUND ONE OF THE COMPONENTS OF THE Aloe Vera Plant Leaves (ALOE VERA) AS A LAXATIVE (LAXATIVE) a) Master of Biology Education, Universitas Negeri Jakarta Abstract Aloe vera (Aloe vera) has a water content of up to 98-99%, the rest is 75 active compounds which have been proven to have potential as antioxidants. Aloe vera (Aloe vera) contains the compound barbaloin and essential amino acids. Which has a laxative (laxative) effect due to its content. The results of molecular docking showed that there was an interaction between Aloe vera and the barbaloin compound with a binding affinity of - 7.7. If the results were very negative, it was certain that the natural compound was a good compound. In the visualization that focuses on the 2D Post View ligand, a diagram is obtained depicting the interaction between the ligand (barbaloin) and the target protein and also the hydrogen bonds, hydrophobic bonds and amino acid residues of the target protein. It has been proven that barbaloin is useful as a laxative, so in the pharmaceutical world aloe vera has a very important role because of its barbaloin content.
