Abstract
This study is about the correlation between the communication skill of English and Carrier Human Development in the maritime company. This study aimed to know how good the correlation between communication skill and the carrier in the company which was working in maritime sector. This study was a descriptive qualitative by using the purposive random sampling and questionnaire to answer the research question. The results showed that the communication skill by using English supported the carrier in the company having the maritime field sectors. It could be concluded that English Skills especially speaking could be used as a bridge to get the better carrier in sustaining human development so its role could not be neglected in the era of globalization.
