Abstract

Ensuring that Computer Numerical Control (CNC) is ergonomically constructed is crucial for its proper functioning. Work postures are one of the ergonomic aspects that must be taken into account when using CNC since they have the potential to cause musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) or raise the risk of developing work-related MSDs (WMDs). In order to identify a list of potential risks related to the use of the CNC Milling Trainer MTU 250 Pro Version 3 Axis, evaluate the ergonomics of the machine using SNI 9011: 2021, and make recommendations regarding the machine and table height of the CNC Milling Trainer MTU 250 Pro Version 3 Axis, these studies were conducted. Direct observation, the SNI 9011:2021 questionnaire, and user anthropometric dimension assessment are the techniques employed. SNI 9011:2021 is the assessment standard that is applied in ergonomic evaluation. The questionnaire results revealed that 9 users (32.1%) out of the 28 users had concerns with a high risk level. The recommended work posture is to stand upright and ensure that the head position is parallel to the spine. It can be concluded that there are potential hazards that could affect the health of workers, such as a head that is not parallel to the spine and a hunched position resulting in improper work postures. Additionally, the height of the table machine can be suggested to be 90 cm and the machine^s height to be 180.8 cm based on the user^s anthropometric measurements.
