Abstract
In the product development laboratory of the Jakarta State Polytechnic mechanical Engineering department, the two barrel injection molding prototype still uses a manual system in the clamping and injection areas. This molding process is done by injecting plastic material that has melted due to friction and heat in the barrel into the mold. This machine has several drawbacks, such as long time for clamping and injection process and less effective operator mobility. Overcoming these problems, the author proposes to use hydraulics to change the clamping and injection parts. In this study, a comparison was made using a map table of workers and machines, on the previous machine, it was found that after the modification, the clamping and injection process time on the machine was reduced from 60 seconds to 32 seconds and the mobility of the operator became centralized which previously the operator had to move when clamping and injection.
