Information Service Chatbot with Context Recognition and Synonym Detection

Abstract

In the dynamic digital era, providing fast and effective
information to customers poses a challenge for many companies.
We propose the use of chatbot technology to enhance operational
efficiency and expedite response times in delivering information
to customers. The methodology employed includes utilizing
cosine similarity for more human-like interactions and endowing
the chatbot with the ability to recognize synonyms, thereby
enhancing its flexibility in understanding and responding to the
various language variations used by users. The objective of this
research is to implement a chatbot capable of consistently
providing information and enhancing user experience. In testing,
the developed chatbot showed positive results in improving
company operational efficiency by speeding up response times
and delivering consistent information to users. The results from
using cosine similarity to measure similarity between user
queries and the chatbot^s database demonstrate a higher level of
relevance in responses. Thus, the use of this chatbot is expected
to provide an effective solution to the challenges of information
provision to customers in the continuously evolving digital era.
