Abstract

Climate Change and the Greenhouse Effect Have Become a Global Issue Requiring Serious Attention. Global Temperature Increase Since 1850 Has Had Significant Implications for Weather and Climate in Various Regions, Including Indonesia. Global Average Temperature Increase Has Had Impacts on Changes in Rainfall Patterns, Sea Level Rise, and Ecosystem Changes. In Indonesia, Climate Change Has Serious Impacts on Ecosystems, Society, and the Economy. One Factor Influencing Global Warming Is Industrial Activity in Indonesia, Which Receives Funding from Bank for Industry and Commerce (BUMN) Working Capital Loans. BUMN^s Involvement in Funding Indonesian Industries Enables Increased Production and Energy Consumption, Which in Turn Increases Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Indonesia^s Contribution to Global Warming. This Impact Requires Serious Attention and More Effective Mitigation Efforts to Reduce Indonesia^s Contribution to Global Warming and Ensure the Sustainability of Indonesia^s Ecosystem. This study discusses the role of bank funding in enhancing the sustainability performance of companies in Indonesia. This study uses secondary data consisting of documents, reports, and publications related to BUMN bank funding in Indonesia for industrial and non-industrial sectors. The results show that government-backed bank funding in Indonesia contributes positively to sustainable development in industrial and non-industrial sectors. In this study, the dependent variable used is the green index, which measures a company^s social and environmental performance. The independent variables used are agriculture, mining, manufacturing, energy, and construction. The study^s results show that bank funding can enhance a company^s sustainability performance by prioritizing sustainable business practices and recognizing companies that have achieved certain standards in sustainability.
