Abstract

PT XYZ, a heavy equipment manufacturing company, is facing increasing electricity use at its Fabrication Plant due to production growth which continues to increase every year. One of the biggest contributors to electricity use is the tempering machine used in the heavy equipment production process. Tempering machines use heaters that use electric power as an energy source, which causes high electricity consumption and large CO2 emissions. In an effort to reduce electricity consumption and negative impacts on the environment, the company set a target to ch ange the energy source used in tempering machines. The goal is to replace electrical energy sources with energy sources that are more efficient and environmentally friendly. This replacement is expected to help companies save operational costs, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, especially CO2 emissions, and maintain a balance between production efficiency and environmental sustainability. This step is in line with the company^s commitment to reducing environmental impacts, increasing sustainability, and supporting global efforts to deal with climate change. By changing the energy source in the tempering machine, PT XYZ strives to achieve economically efficient and environmentally efficient production.
