Abstract

Metri Deso or (clean village) It is a culture and tradition that is carried out every year with the aim of purifying or cleaning the area, area, place, village or hamlet which is the place of residence for mankind. in Blau Hamlet, Permanu Village, Pakisaji District. It is considered sacred to invoke Salvation expressing gratitude to God for the grace that has been given to society. such as health, physical and spiritual safety and abundant fortune, and besides that to serve ancestors spontaneously based on instincts and beliefs.
The chosen research method is qualitative, emphasizing aspects of the Phenomenological Study. Determining the informants selected purposively, while collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. Data analysis refers to Milles and Huberman with integrative paths and critical analysis techniques. The results of the analysis reveal culture or tradition as an alignment, increasing harmony, tolerance, togetherness among citizens strengthens a sense of unity and oneness. Furthermore, it is hoped that culture or tradition will continue to be remembered for its history as knowledge, so that it can be passed on to our children and grandchildren in the future so that it does not perish with the times
