Enhancing Teacher Performance in the Context of Professional Competence and Workplace Spirituality

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of teacher professional competence on teacher performance and to investigate the effect of professional competence upon teacher performance through workplace spirituality. The study was conducted with a sample of 182 high school teachers in Malang City, with a standard error of 7%. The analytical tool employed was smart-PLS. The findings of this study indicate that professional competence can lead to teachers^ mastery of instructional materials and foster a supportive spiritual attitude in the learning process. The contributions of this research can be utilized by educational administrators to enhance teachers^ abilities in the teaching and learning process and their mastery of instructional materials. Additionally, it provides insights for educational policymakers to improve teacher performance in Malang City.
